These terms cover your use of this website and set out the principles on which Vet HR provides services. They are deliberately short and in plain English. Specific engagements are governed by the written agreement issued with each quote, which takes precedence over this page where the two differ.
About this website
This website is operated by Vet HR (contact: hr@vethr.co.uk, 0800 023 5232, 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London WC2H 9JQ). You may browse, link to and quote briefly from this site. You may not scrape it wholesale, pass its content off as your own, or use it to train a competing template pack.
What our content is, and is not
Articles and pages on this site are general information for UK veterinary practices, current at their stated date. They are not legal advice, and they are not advice specific to your practice until we are engaged and have seen your situation. Employment rules change; where a decision matters, check the position at the time or ask us.
Vet HR provides HR consultancy and documentation support. We are not a solicitors' practice and do not provide regulated legal advice. Where a matter needs a solicitor, we say so plainly.
How engagements work
- Written quotes. Every project and subscription is quoted in writing before work starts. The quote defines the scope, the price and the timeline.
- Scope changes. If scope changes mid-project, the quote is revised in writing before any additional work happens.
- Subscriptions. Notice periods and renewal terms are stated in the agreement, in plain English, before you sign.
- Your data. Documents and system data created for your practice belong to your practice. Exports are available in usable formats, including when an engagement ends.
- Referral programme. The thank-you described on the referral page applies once per referred practice, after that practice's first paid invoice, and has no cash alternative. We may amend or close the programme for future referrals at any time, honouring referrals already made.
Liability
We stand behind our work and put our advice in writing. We do not exclude liability where the law does not allow it (such as for fraud, or death or personal injury caused by negligence). Beyond that, the liability terms applying to an engagement are set out in its written agreement. For this website itself, we make reasonable efforts to keep content accurate and the site available, but provide both without warranty.
Privacy
How we handle personal data is covered by our privacy policy, which is part of how we work, not a decoration.
Governing law
These terms and any dispute arising from this website are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
Changes
When these terms change, the date at the top changes with them. Significant changes are flagged plainly on this page.
